In a continued effort to bridge the digital and educational divide in Ghana, the Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation (BSEF), in collaboration with Bountiful Technologies Ltd and Reading Horizons, donated 19 desktop computers and accessories to two schools in the Agona West Municipal: Swedru Girls Model Junior High School and Swedru Methodist B Basic School. This initiative aims to increase access to STEM, artificial intelligence (AI), and computing education for over 600 students and teachers in the municipality.
The donation ceremony marked a significant milestone with the launch of the Science of Reading pilot program by Tyson Smith of Reading Horizons. The excitement from students, teachers, and school administrators was palpable, as the program introduced innovative methods to enhance literacy and learning.
Tyson Smith expressed his enthusiasm about the program’s potential:
“Seeing the joy and eagerness on the faces of the students and teachers was truly inspiring. The Science of Reading program is designed to empower educators with the tools they need to improve literacy outcomes, and we’re excited to see the impact it will have on these communities.”
