In a groundbreaking move to revolutionize education in rural Ghana. Dreamers Wish Foundation in Partnership with Bountiful Technologies Co. Ltd, and Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation have successfully launched a pioneering STEAM education initiative at Dadome Basic D/A School in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region. This initiative, aimed at transforming education in underserved communities, marks a significant step in equipping students with essential 21st-century skills.
During the launch, 70 parents, 150 students, and 30 teachers witnessed and participated in the ushering of the program, which promises to bridge the gap between traditional learning and project-based learning.
Transforming Education Through STEAM The initiative is set to benefit over 8,000 students (40% will be girls) in the North Tongu District. At its core, a state-of-the-art STEAM center will be constructed, serving as a hub for inspiring students to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This center will feature innovative programs in robotics, computational thinking, coding, decomposition, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), basic electronics, ethical leadership, and vocational skills training. By incorporating vocational education, the program ensures students have diverse opportunities for success, aligning advanced technology learning with practical, job, and college-ready skills.
Collaboration for a Brighter Future The Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of problem-solvers, played a pivotal role in the program’s design and execution. With a mission to deliver quality STEM education to underserved regions, the foundation provided a hands-on, interactive curriculum that brings STEAM concepts to life for students. Founders, Seth Ogoe Ayim and Selina Appiah have been at the forefront of this initiative, steering it towards impactful results.
Bountiful Technologies Co. Ltd, a leading provider of technology solutions, also contributed significantly by equipping the school with cutting-edge tools and resources. “This partnership complements Dreamers Wish Foundation’s overarching objective of enhancing educational access and quality in Ghana and beyond”, said Goodwill Ekow Tandoh, Founder and Executive Director of Dreamers Wish Foundation
Empowering Students for the Future The STEAM program provides a holistic education that seamlessly integrates arts into traditional science and technology curricula. This approach fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, preparing students for emerging career fields and making them competitive in a globalized workforce.
“We are thrilled to have launched this STEAM initiative in collaboration with Bountiful Technologies and Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation. Together, we are not only improving access to education but also shaping the future leaders of Ghana,” said Seth Ogoe Ayim, Founder and CEO of Bountiful Technologies Co. Ltd and Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation. This program embodies our shared mission of empowering children through education and providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
